Univeristy Marketing & Communications currently subscribes to the maxmind.com service, a registry of known IP addresses and their geogrphic location. The service, which currently resides on bannerserve.utah.edu, allows university websites to target content to on the geographic location of its Web site visitors. To see how this service works on the U of U homepage, click here. Use your mouse at the top of the page imitate your geographic location.
