Tragedy Strikes Near the U's Sister School, Sichuan University.

The May 12th earthquake in China’s Sichuan Province resulted in widespread injury and devastating loss. Among those affected by the quake are friends and colleagues at Sichuan University, our sister school through the Confucius Institute at the U. Sichuan University is located just 60 miles east of the quake’s epicenter.

The entire University family expresses its deepest sympathies to the victims of this natural disaster. We likewise extend our condolences to those affected by the Myanmar Cyclone and the U.S. tornadoes. We encourage you to support reconstruction and relief efforts currently underway in many locations around the world
